This Privacy Policy explains how Monetro (“Monetro“, “we“, “us“, “our“) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you visit monetro.com, use our client dashboard, purchase or take part in our evaluation and funded trader programs, or otherwise interact with us (together, the “Services“). It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.
Monetro is registered at the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP), Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, which acts as the controller of your personal data. By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described here.
1. The information we collect
Information you provide to us:
- Identity and contact data — name, email address, phone number, country, and similar details you give when registering, purchasing, or contacting us.
- Identity-verification (KYC/AML) data — government-issued ID, proof of address, date of birth, and related documents required to verify your identity, particularly before a Payout.
- Account and transaction data — your program selections, order history, evaluation and trading-performance data, and payout destination details.
- Payment data — billing information processed by our payment providers. We do not store full payment-card numbers.
- Communications — messages, support requests, survey responses, and your contact preferences.
Information we collect automatically:
- Technical and usage data — IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and interactions with the Website.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 4.
Information from third parties:
- Data from payment processors, identity-verification providers, the trading platform provider, advertising and analytics partners, and affiliates who refer you to us.
2. How we use your information
We use personal data to:
- create and manage your Account and provide the Services;
- process purchases, deliver evaluation access, and administer Funded Accounts and Payouts;
- verify your identity and carry out KYC/AML, fraud-prevention, and security checks;
- communicate with you about your Account, transactions, and support requests;
- send marketing and newsletter communications where permitted (you can opt out at any time);
- operate, analyze, secure, and improve the Services and the Website;
- run and measure advertising and referral/affiliate programs; and
- comply with legal, regulatory, and tax obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. Legal bases (where GDPR or similar laws apply)
Where applicable data-protection law (such as the EU/UK GDPR) applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Services you purchase); legitimate interests (to secure, operate, and improve the Services and prevent fraud); consent (for certain marketing and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time); and legal obligation (for KYC/AML, accounting, and regulatory requirements).
4. Cookies & tracking technologies
We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Website, remember preferences, measure traffic and performance, and deliver and measure advertising. These include essential cookies (required for the site to function), analytics cookies (to understand how the site is used), and advertising cookies (to support marketing campaigns and measure their effectiveness). You can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie banner (where available) and your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run the Services, with the following categories of recipients, each under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations:
- Service providers and processors acting on our behalf, including: payment-processing providers; identity-verification and KYC/AML providers; the trading-platform and market-data provider; hosting and infrastructure providers; analytics and advertising providers; email, newsletter, and communications tools; affiliate-tracking and customer-relationship-management tools.
- Professional advisers such as legal, accounting, and audit firms.
- Authorities and third parties where required by law, regulation, court order, or to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or legal matters.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We use generalized categories above rather than a fixed vendor list because our providers may change over time. A current list of key sub-processors can be provided on request to support@monetro.com.
6. International transfers
Monetro operates from the United Arab Emirates and works with providers located in various countries. Your personal data may therefore be transferred to, stored, or processed outside your country of residence. Where required by law, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers (for example, recognized standard contractual clauses or equivalent measures).
7. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services, comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations (for example, KYC/AML record-keeping), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the EU/UK GDPR and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction or deletion; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; request data portability; and lodge a complaint with a relevant supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, contact support@monetro.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. Some data may be retained where we have a legal basis or obligation to keep it.
10. Marketing communications
Where you receive marketing or newsletter emails from us, you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting support@monetro.com. We will still send essential service messages (such as transaction and account notices).
11. Children
The Services are intended for adults aged 18 or over and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Third-party links
The Website and communities (such as our Discord and social-media channels) may link to third-party sites and services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the Website with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy.
